About The Position

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for strengthening countywide collaboration, building educator capacity, and supporting every public, charter, and accommodation school across Cochise County, with a particular focus on small schools. The role involves leading professional learning initiatives, coordinating cross-district partnerships, and ensuring small schools have access to high-quality training, resources, and support aligned with county priorities. The County Coordinator serves as a trusted liaison between small schools, districts, community partners, and the Superintendent’s Office, aiming to advance a unified vision of excellence, equity, and service for all students in Cochise County.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in education or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education.
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license.
  • Ability to be covered by county insurance.
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved may be considered.
  • Knowledge of modern office procedures and methods.
  • Knowledge of English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures of the assigned department.
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures of record keeping.
  • Skill in building strong, trusting relationships.
  • Skill in use of computerized budget/financial tracking and reporting systems.
  • Skill in performing and verifying mathematical computations.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records, reports and communication.
  • Ability to develop clear, timely communications.
  • Ability to assist schools in navigating training and partnership activities.
  • Ability to promote a culture of partnership, transparency and shared responsibility for student success.
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public.
