About The Position

Wayne County Children and Youth in Honesdale, PA, is seeking organized, responsible, and motivated individuals to join our team in a rewarding public service career. The role focuses on guiding staff, reviewing casework, and ensuring compliance with legal and agency standards.

Requirements

Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

Be able to perform essential job functions.
Pass a background investigation.
Pass a drug screening (conditional offer of employment).
Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance (conditional offer of employment).

Responsibilities

Manage daily activities of caseworkers and review casework for quality and accuracy
Provide training to new and current caseworkers on agency policies and procedures
Monitor cases for adherence to legal benchmarks and court orders
Review and maintain records to ensure services meet regulatory requirements
Assist with creating the annual plan and support unit operations when needed
