Requirements

  • High school diploma and proof of current enrollment at a post-secondary school required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based applications.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation to attend in-person events or for in-person work in the County Board office.

Nice To Haves

  • Student pursuing an education at a university or technical school, with a focus on public policy, political science, rhetorical leadership, public and non-profit administration, and/or law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm for public communications.
  • Driver’s License preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily projects.
  • Generate posts for official County Board social media.
  • Attend committee meetings on behalf of the Board.
  • Support County Supervisors with legislative projects related to public policy, constituent services, citations, and coordination of County Board presentations.
  • Assist with constituent reports and events.
  • Complete the process of sorting records for historical retention.
  • Front desk reception services.
