The current vacancy is in the Ramsey County Attorney's Office. This position is responsible for leading, managing, and directing the functions of the Victim, Witness and Postconviction Justice Division. The role involves participating as a member of the County Attorney's Management Team in policy formulation and implementation, providing supervision and direction to division staff, and performing designated non-managerial functions specific to the division. The Director supervises and assigns advocates and other division staff to support victims and witnesses, ensuring their rights are upheld and they receive compassionate support. Additionally, the Director supervises and assigns division attorneys and law clerks to handle court appearances for sentencing matters, probation violations, restitution hearings, and to review and litigate past sentences and convictions for integrity, including the impact of collateral consequences. The position also involves conducting reviews of expungement requests. This position requires the Director to be physically present at the office during normal business hours a minimum of four workdays during a typical Monday to Friday work week.
