About The Position

We are seeking a Country Lead, North America Payroll to oversee end-to-end payroll operations across Canada and support alignment with U.S. payroll processes. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant payroll delivery while serving as a trusted payroll subject matter expert and partnering across HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of progressive payroll experience, including demonstrated knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, CRA remittances, and multi-provincial payroll administration.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Deep understanding of payroll controls, compliance, taxation, and audits.

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting U.S. payroll operations.
• Experience working with third-party payroll providers.
• Canadian Payroll Association Certification, PCP designation, Certified Payroll Manager (CPM), or any related certification is considered an asset.
• French language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for Canada and support North American payroll operations.
• Validate payroll inputs including compensation changes, benefits, deductions, time records, and employee status updates.
• Ensure payroll compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
• Perform payroll reconciliations, reporting, accounting support, and audit activities.
• Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and payroll vendors to deliver payroll excellence.
• Resolve payroll issues, inquiries, and escalations.
• Drive process improvements, system enhancements, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
