About The Position

Lumbermen’s is hiring a Countertop Installer in the Cincinnati market. The role involves learning to accurately measure, fabricate, and install custom solid surface, granite, and quartz countertops. Installers travel to job sites in a company vehicle and safely, efficiently, and precisely install surfaces, sinks, and faucets. The position also includes removing existing countertop materials such as laminate, tile, and solid surface, as well as backsplash, according to job orders. Effective customer communication and problem resolution are important parts of the role. The selected candidate is expected to be a safety-minded, dependable team player who contributes to collaborative success and takes pride in accurate work. The position includes a $400 annual clothing allowance for uniform and protective footwear.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Commitment to working safely and efficiently.
Dependability and reliability.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Ability to safely lift and move granite, quartz countertops, and other heavy materials; ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to safely operate tools and equipment in the fabricating shop and on the installation truck.
Ability to follow prescribed programs and standards.
Strong communication skills to build and maintain customer relationships.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Accuracy, attention to detail, and a commitment to doing work right the first time.
Ability to meet deadlines and a continuous-improvement mentality.
Chauffeur’s license with a clean driving record; the company can assist with obtaining a chauffeur’s license.

Nice To Haves

Construction experience, such as tile setting, fabrication, trim carpentry, or cabinet installation.
Hilo operator’s license; training is available if needed.
Desire to learn and help grow and develop the program and business.

Responsibilities
