About The Position

The Counterintelligence Security Polygrapher plays a crucial role within Special Access Programs (SAPs), supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies such as HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and Military Compartments. This position provides essential day-to-day support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities. The primary responsibility involves conducting polygraph examinations on personnel assigned to or working on programs requiring screening examinations, in strict accordance with DoD directives and policies. Accurate documentation of examination information in the standard acceptable format for AFOSI is also a key function.

Requirements

  • 4 - 5 years related polygrapher experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4 years)
  • Graduate of the DOD Polygraph training academy
  • Previously certified as a DOD polygraph examiner
  • Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information
  • Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph
  • Must be familiar with DoD, National and applicable service and agency security policy, manuals and standards

Responsibilities

  • Complete polygraph examinations on personnel assigned to or working on programs identified by the USAF Polygraph Program Management Office as requiring screening examinations
  • Conduct examinations in accordance with DoD directives and policies governing the use of polygraph examinations
  • Document appropriate information in accordance with standard acceptable format to AFOSI
