About The Position

As a Counter Sales teammate, you will be an integral part of our dynamic and fast-paced team. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service to our clients who visit our trades counter. This is a hands-on position that requires excellent customer service and organization skills, and the ability to work as a team member efficiently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment. As a Counter Sales teammate at BENDER, you will be accountable for providing the highest level of service to customers, in person, over the phone and via company emails and texting applications, ensuring customer orders and requests are managed in a timely and accurate manner, effectively and quickly managing customer calls and emails, increasing sales and awareness of new products, specials, promotions, etc., proactively engaging in training to improve your product knowledge and selling skills, and meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy (30-50 lbs.) items occasionally

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in wholesale/distribution counter sales preferred
• Previous experience in Plumbing and HVAC experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and answer incoming calls at the counter with professionalism and a friendly attitude
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale and WMS systems
• Fulfill customer orders and arrange for product pickups
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure inventory accuracy and product availability
• Handle returns and exchanges professionally and in accordance with company policies
• Be willing to find solutions and solve challenges
• Assist in resolving customer inquiries and concerns
• Maintain a positive and helpful attitude, even during busy periods
• Maintain a clean and organized counter area
