About The Position

This position will start out at an hourly rate of $18/hr. Once fully trained in the position, base pay will be $17/hr. and you will begin earning commission on sales as well as your base rate. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, read orders, complete forms, and follow instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors using verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and professional communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and material handling practices.
  • Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of building materials and related products.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one (1) year of retail sales or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, professional service to customers by assisting with product selection, pricing, availability, quotes, estimates, sales orders, and related product recommendations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of products, pricing, applications, and industry trends while promoting customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.
  • Process sales transactions, refunds, credits, and related documentation in accordance with Company procedures.
  • Support inventory management and store operations by maintaining accurate records, stocking merchandise, maintaining displays, and ensuring assigned areas remain clean and organized.
  • Work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers to support store goals, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Comply with Company policies, procedures, and dress code requirements while assisting with additional duties and special projects as assigned.
