About The Position

Ferguson, a Fortune 500 company, is seeking a Counter Sales Representative to join their team. This role is responsible for providing advice to customers, processing orders, operating cash registers, preparing orders for pickup, maintaining store appearance and merchandising standards, restocking merchandise, and ensuring a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • General computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required
  • General math skills to allow for cash accounting
  • An ability to learn is a must have!
  • Excellent decision making and communication skills
  • Pre-employment drug and background screening required

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of products is preferred
  • Forklift experience a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Provides advice to customers regarding the best products to fit their needs
  • Processing orders via order management system
  • Operate cash registers and follow established cash handling procedures
  • Prepare and stage orders for customer pick up
  • Maintain store appearance and merchandising standards as advised
  • Ensure that merchandise is restocked and placed in their respective areas
  • Maintain a safe working environment including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
  • Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE).
