About The Position

SouthernCarlson is hiring a Counter Sales Representative (CSR) who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. This role is the face of the branch, helping customers find the right solutions while delivering exceptional service and supporting daily operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
  • Strong math skills with ability to calculate pricing and margins
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 80 lbs occasionally
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset

Nice To Haves

  • 1–2 years of experience in construction supply, building materials, or related industry preferred
  • Knowledge of fasteners, power tools, or pneumatic systems is a plus
  • Bilingual skills are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-person and phone support to customers by identifying needs and recommending the right products
  • Build relationships with customers by delivering knowledgeable, high-energy service
  • Proactively reach out to existing and potential customers to drive sales growth
  • Prepare quotes and process orders accurately using ERP systems
  • Stay up to date on product lines, vendor offerings, and construction industry trends
  • Maintain showroom organization, stock levels, and promotional displays
  • Coordinate with outside sales, service teams, and leadership to ensure customer satisfaction
