About The Position

Northwest Drive Train is Hiring a Counter Sales Representative! Location: Houston, TX Schedule: Full-Time (standard business hours; overtime as needed) Pay Rate: $16 – $22 per hour Employment Type: Full-Time Overview Northwest Drive Train is looking for a knowledgeable and customer-focused Counter Sales Representative to join our Houston team. In this role, you will be the key connection between our business and the customers who rely on us to keep their heavy-duty vehicles running. If you have strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and enjoy working directly with customers, this is an excellent opportunity to grow within the automotive and heavy-duty parts industry.

Requirements

Professional experience in automotive, heavy-duty retail, sales, or repair
Strong numerical skills for transactions and inventory tracking
Ability to clearly communicate technical information
Reliable and able to work in-person in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to undergo a background check
Willingness to work overtime as needed
Ability to reliably commute to the job location

Nice To Haves

Experience with heavy-duty truck brands (Peterbilt, Kenworth, Mack, International, Freightliner)
Bilingual or multilingual communication skills
Formal training in automotive or heavy-duty diagnostics

Responsibilities

Greet customers and assess their needs for heavy-duty truck parts
Provide technical guidance on components such as transmissions, differentials, PTOs, and pumps
Accurately process sales transactions and generate invoices
Handle cash and operate point-of-sale systems efficiently
Maintain organized sales counters and assist with inventory management
Restock products and support order fulfillment
Negotiate pricing and delivery timelines when needed
Build strong relationships with repeat customers and local repair shops
