About The Position

Spectrum Paint Company is hiring a part-time Counter Sales/Delivery Driver in Manhattan, Kansas. The position combines product delivery with in-store and phone customer service, order preparation, color matching, and payment processing. Deliveries are made safely and efficiently using a company vehicle, following designated routes and schedules. Store hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday; the store is closed Sunday. Flexible scheduling is available.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Punctuality and dependability.
Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work as a team player.
Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Basic computer and math skills.
Ability to distinguish between colors.
High school diploma or comparable certification (GED).
Ability to pass a background check and, as applicable to the role, an MVR check.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual Spanish/English skills.
Prior experience in delivery, retail sales, cashiering, or customer service; experience is not required.

Responsibilities

Deliver products safely and efficiently to customers using a company vehicle.
Follow designated routes and time schedules to deliver products promptly.
Load and unload the delivery vehicle.
Prepare orders by mixing or tinting products to customer specifications.
Identify and match paint colors accurately.
Assist customers by phone and in the store with orders and questions.
Process cash and credit card transactions accurately and maintain a cash drawer.
Provide a high level of customer service and help ensure customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with coworkers and managers to maintain a smooth workflow.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
