This role involves preparing and serving bistro items, relating to residents with courtesy and empathy, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. The attendant must adhere to all safety and infection control guidelines, practice safe food handling, and provide a pleasant dining experience while accommodating specific dietary needs. Maintaining high standards of appearance, sanitation, and hygiene is crucial, as is protecting resident confidentiality. The position also requires reporting any malfunctioning kitchen equipment and taking ownership of associate and resident safety. Associates must disclose any medication that might impair their ability to perform the job safely. Non-essential functions include leading by example with CORE Values, having a passion for working with senior citizens, attending community meetings, completing required courses, and being prompt and reliable. Associates must also be familiar with the Safe Return program for missing persons and fire evacuation procedures, contributing to a safe and secure environment for all residents.
