About The Position

Marcus Theatres is seeking a counter attendant to provide customer service in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The role focuses on taking customer orders, entering orders into the POS system, assembling menu items to guest and menu specifications, and meeting quality standards. Counter attendants also pour beer and wine at the counter. The position reports to the Kitchen Supervisor.

Requirements

Knowledge of appropriate service standards.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout a shift.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Ability to understand spoken English to comprehend basic guest requests.
Ability to understand written English to read safety notices.
Ability to learn all menu items.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to self-motivate during slow periods.

Nice To Haves

Prior customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the cook with food order preparation during busy periods.
Help set up and tear down the kitchen at the beginning and end of shifts.
Assist with special guest requests to support guest satisfaction.
Communicate with other kitchen associates to support guest satisfaction.
Maintain ticket times.
Handle cash and credit transactions properly.
Remove and wash dirty dishes from the kitchen area.
Maintain standard plate presentation.
Maintain the condition and cleanliness of the work area.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Take customer orders, enter them into the POS system, and assemble menu items to guest and menu specifications and quality standards.
Pour beer and wine at the counter.
