About The Position

The Count Room Team Member performs daily casino money-counting operations, including bill validator pulls, coin drops, weighing, wrapping, bagging, and racking coin. The role also performs Table Games and Poker Box counts and Slots Bill Validator counts, along with preventive maintenance as required. The team member picks up and protects Slot Drop money from the casino floor, delivers it to the Hard Count Room, wraps money collected daily, and transfers it to the vault. The position reports to the Counts Rooms Manager for other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to work all shifts.
• Must be able to work as part of a team and get along with co-workers.
• Must present a well-groomed appearance.
• Must be able to distinguish chip denominations and determine the authenticity of currency.
• Must be able to operate a computer, ten-key adding machine, and money counter.
• Must be able to maneuver in and around all count rooms.
• Must be able to respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations, including employee conflicts.
• Must be able to push and pull carts and carry boxes filled with currency weighing up to 5 pounds.
• Must be able to grip objects and have good finger movement when counting and handling currency.
• Must be able to stand for 6 to 7 hours at a time.
• Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items as necessary.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.

Nice To Haves

• Skills with adding machines, computer terminal operations, and currency-counting machines are helpful.
• Basic mechanical repair ability preferred.
• Prior count room or money-handling experience in a casino or bank preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform bill validator pulls and coin drops; weigh, wrap, bag, and rack coin from the daily drop.
• Perform Table Games and Poker Box counts and Slots Bill Validator counts.
• Perform preventive maintenance as required.
• Pick up, protect, and deliver all buckets of Slot Drop money from the casino floor to the Hard Count Room.
• Wrap all money picked up daily and transfer it to the vault.
• Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Counts Rooms Manager.
