About The Position

This role is responsible for participating in the collection, sorting, counting, strapping, and recording of contents from slot machine drop boxes and racing self-service drop boxes. The position involves comparing collected data with computer records, reading and recording slot machine meters, and performing minor repairs and maintenance on soft count room equipment. Additionally, the Count Room Rep issues impressment bags, verifies cash and information for various teller types, completes balancing reports, and runs end-of-day reports in the racing system. The role also requires maintaining the general upkeep of soft count rooms and notifying supervisors of malfunctioning equipment. A key aspect of the job is consistently demonstrating superior customer service skills, maintaining a positive attitude, and promoting the Caesars Rewards program and Harrah's brand.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years related experience required.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management in a clear, friendly, and confident manner.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Must be able to maneuver around office areas, effectively work in high traffic areas and respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to handle more than one function at a time by being well organized.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Good mathematical and clerical aptitude for accurate record keeping.
  • Excellent customer service skills a must.
  • Can work in smoke-filled environment.
  • Able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate license through the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

  • Sorts, counts, straps and records the contents of slot drop according to procedure.
  • Compares information contained in drop boxes to data stored on computer terminal.
  • Participates in reading and recording slot machine meters.
  • Responsible for minor repairs and maintenance of soft count room equipment.
  • Maintains general upkeep of soft count rooms.
  • Notifies Supervisor of malfunctioning equipment.
  • Issues beginning of day impressments bags for racing tellers, program sellers and global cash bags.
  • Completes the collection of cash from the racing self-service drop boxes machines (BAM’s) and the applicable verification paperwork.
  • Sorts, counts, straps and records the contents of the racing self-service drop boxes machines (BAM’s).
  • Verifies cash and information contained in racing teller, program sellers and global cash pages.
  • Completes shift change and end of day balancing reports.
  • Responsible for running end of day reports in racing system.
  • Complies with and upholds company expectations including Code of Commitment, policies, procedures, industry regulations, department goals and business strategy.
  • Politely gives consistent, timely and accurate information and finds answer when unsure.
  • Uses Spotlight on Success behaviors when encountering guests.
  • Acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages other to do the same.
