About The Position

Spero Health is seeking a licensed counselor or social worker to join an integrated team supporting patients receiving counseling, case management, and medically assisted treatment. The role supports Spero Health’s mission of “Saving Lives, Instilling Hope and Restoring Relationships” through integrated care focused on treating the whole person.

The Counselor conducts initial assessments and ongoing patient care, provides evidence-based counseling and patient education, and collaborates with the team to support treatment-program accountability and patient compliance. The Counselor also helps patients set realistic goals toward recovery and serves as a clinic resource, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a behavioral health field.
• At least one year of full-time employment or internship experience in a human-services setting, or a master’s degree in behavioral science as defined in the posting.
• One of the following licenses: LISAC, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LMSW, or LASAC.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in a behavioral health field is preferred.

Responsibilities
