About The Position

Pyramid Healthcare is dedicated to offering the highest quality of care to those they serve, focusing on client-focused care in addiction treatment, mental health recovery, and eating disorder treatment. They provide comprehensive behavioral healthcare services, including psychiatry, addiction recovery, and mental disorder treatment, to help clients at all stages of recovery or rehabilitation reclaim health and well-being. The Counselor is responsible for facilitating all clinical services for the program as outlined by facility standards and in accordance with the clinical philosophy of the program.

Requirements

A CADC (Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor) with any level of education (High School Diploma, Associate, Bachelor Degree) from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services field), or other related field.
OR A Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services field), or other related field AND Possession of a NJ professional license such as LSW (Licensed Social Worker), LAC (Licensed Associate Counselor), LCADC (Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), or LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor).

Responsibilities

Evaluate behavioral, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and social needs of clients and family members.
Consult regularly with the treatment team for the development of and progress towards treatment goals in accordance with clinical policy and accreditation guidelines.
Facilitate all clinical services for clients, including individual and family sessions, therapeutic groups, and contact with referral sources or outpatient providers as applicable.
Maintain clinical records for clients with appropriate documentation of clinical services and client program engagement in ECR in accordance with program policy.
Provide documentation and support for utilization review in a timely manner and participate in the UR process as outlined in program policy.
Participate in aftercare plan development and outcome data processes as applicable.
Contribute to program-specific curriculum development, literature review, and training in accordance with clinical philosophy.
Participate in on-call rotation as directed by the supervisor and in accordance with program policy.
Conduct Level of Care Assessments as required.
Maintain a safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for clients, including crisis intervention.
Complete all required trainings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
