Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
  • Working toward Certification per program license requirements.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders.
  • Working knowledge of computer business software and electronic health care record programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical support to program participants in the areas of addiction and mental health in either a residential or outpatient program by providing therapeutic counseling services through insight and interventions.
  • Maintain caseload, provide both group and individual counseling services as detailed by program standards.
  • Ensure the program supports individual goals of program participants, and that the program’s recovery model is followed.
  • Demonstrate regard for the dignity and respect of the clients and staff.
  • Always display a caring and supportive attitude and represent the program in a positive manner.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all program participant information.
  • Uphold the integrity of RHD values as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Partner with individuals to develop their treatment and recovery goals in relation to their medical, psychiatric and/or substance abuse disorders.
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions.
  • Assist in program participant’s aftercare planning and follow-up.
  • Evaluate residents’ progress and report to funders/referral sources as requested through authorization/re-authorization reviews.
  • Participate actively in clinical case conferences as a member of the individual’s support team.
  • Maintain active caseload including engaging individuals in ongoing treatment.
  • Maintain tracking system for treatment plans, and other required documents to meet program funder guidelines and program goals.
  • Participate in clinical group meetings regarding ongoing treatment goals, progress and discharge as needed.
  • Enter documentation into electronic medical records in accordance with agency guidelines.
  • Maintain up to date scheduling calendar.
  • Other duties assigned
