About The Position

Spero Health is seeking a Counselor to join its team in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. This role supports the organization’s mission of “Saving Lives, Instilling Hope and Restoring Relationships” by working as part of an integrated team providing counseling, case management, and medically assisted treatment to patients. The position is for a licensed counselor or social worker and focuses on treating the whole person through integrated care. The schedule is four days per week, ten hours per day, Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Requirements

A minimum of a master's degree in a human services field, such as psychology, sociology, social work, family studies, human services, counseling, nursing, or another human-service degree program related to working with individuals with substance use disorders.
At least one year of full-time employment or internship experience in a human-services setting, or a master's degree in behavioral science as defined in the posting.
Must hold one of the listed licenses: CSW, LCSW, LPCC, LPCA, LMFT, LCADC-A, or LCADC.

Responsibilities

Conduct initial assessments and provide ongoing patient care.
Provide counseling to patients using evidence-based practices.
Provide patient education.
Promote accountability in the treatment program and patient compliance through collaboration.
Assist patients in creating realistic goals to achieve freedom from addiction.
Act as a clinic resource and ensure compliance with HIPAA and CFR 42 Part 2 regulations.
