About The Position

Spero Health is seeking a Counselor/Social Worker to join their team. This position is for a licensed counselor or social worker who supports the mission of “Saving Lives, Instilling Hope and Restoring Relationships” in an integrated team with patients receiving counseling, case management and medically assisted treatment. Spero Health believes better outcomes are achieved when you treat the whole person, through integrated care. This role will support both the Petersburg and Martinsville clinics.

Requirements

Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling and/or Substance Abuse Treatment
Minimum of 1 year of full-time employment/internship working in a human-services setting OR Master's Degree in behavioral science
License: LPC, LCSW or CSAC

Responsibilities

Conduct initial assessment and ongoing patient care.
Provide counseling to patients through evidenced-based practice.
Provide patient education.
Ensure accountability of treatment program and patient compliance through collaboration.
Assist patients in creating realistic goals toward achieving freedom from addiction.
Act as a clinic resource and assure compliance with HIPPA and CFR42 Part 2 regulations.
