About The Position

Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral is looking for an experienced counselor passionate about providing individual and group counseling services. This role involves providing quality case management and psychotherapeutic services to patients and their families. The position also includes leading patient groups, documenting progress, and serving as a member of the interdisciplinary team to support the organization’s treatment program and philosophy.

Requirements

Master’s degree in a behavioral science or mental health related field required.
Clinical experience in an inpatient and outpatient mental health setting preferred.
Possess general knowledge of all areas of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment.
Adult age-specific competencies.
Current state licensure and/or certification to work in IOP/PHP Program.
Ability to relate well with treatment professionals.
Ability to mobilize and coordinate staff resources.
Skills in dealing courteously with the public and individuals within the organization and counseling centers.
Organizational skills.
Ability to keep information highly confidential.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Basic data entry skills preferred.
Time management skills.
Has access to and adds information to the Medical Record.
May only access medical record of assigned patients.
