About The Position

This position is for a Master’s-level student currently enrolled in Social Work (MSW) or Counseling programs for internship opportunities. We welcome both foundation and advanced-year MSW interns, as well as Counseling students completing their practicum or internship requirements. Interns will work in various capacities across the organization, gaining hands-on experience with clinical services, client support, and administrative operations in an outpatient behavioral health clinic setting.

Requirements

Ability to manage emotional situations in a calm and professional manner.
Excellent organization and planning.
Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software.

Responsibilities

Assist with and provide direct services to clients under supervision.
Conduct intake assessments with client and family members utilizing appropriate intake materials and continually assess client needs, service availability and appropriateness.
Participate in case consultation with Clinical Supervisor.
Provide therapeutic interventions to the identified client in order to enhance and foster the client’s optimal functioning and interactions in the home and community.
Work cooperatively with treatment team members and the family in the provision of services to meet the goals developed.
Provide the appropriate documentation for service delivery including treatment goals, progress notes.
Provide clinical documentation that is ethical and supported by treatment goals.
Assist with documentation, scheduling and data entry.
Support client records management and quality assurance practices.
Participate in audits, compliance monitoring, or special projects.
Assist with program development, community outreach and resource building.
Learn about regulatory and billing processes relevant to behavioral health.
