About The Position

As a Counselor II, you have an opportunity to make a difference every day by helping people with substance abuse issues gain control of their lives. This is a full-time position working with the men's unit.

Requirements

• IAODAPCA certification as CERTIFIED ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUG COUNSELOR (CADC) or IC&RC Counselor certification CRADC, CSADC, CAADC or LSW, LCSW, LPC, or LCPC
• Two (2) years of counseling experience.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to exercise discretion and use independent judgment in making decisions.
• Ability to promote positive behavior and manage resistant behavior.
• At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Valid driver’s license from employee’s state of residence.
• Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

Nice To Haves

• Two (2) years’ experience working with Substance abuse.
• LCPC preferred
