Reporting to the Manager of Wellness, the Counsellor provides professional and ethical mental health support to students, fostering personal and academic coping skill development. This role supports students through face-to-face and virtual counselling services, crisis intervention, referrals to internal and external resources, wellness initiatives, and mental health awareness activities. The Counsellor plays an important role in promoting student wellbeing and success through individual support, campus mental health initiatives, and collaboration with colleagues across the College. In addition, the role participates in the Transition to Employment admissions process, requiring strong psychoeducational assessment interpretation skills, accurate documentation practices, and adherence to the standards of practice of the College of Alberta Psychologists. This is a permanent, 0.5 FTE role.
