About The Position

This is a PRN (Flexible/As needed) opportunity for a COTA to improve the health and well-being of patients with the rehab team at Christian Hospital. New graduates and experienced COTAs are welcome to apply. Christian Hospital has been serving St. Louis and the surrounding metro areas since 1903 and is recognized for its clinical excellence. Occupational Therapy provides therapy services for persons who have experienced a disruption in life roles due to illness or injury, assisting individuals with health maintenance and community re-entry by helping them achieve maximum functional ability.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree - OT Assistant
• No Experience
• No Experience (Supervisor Experience)
• COTA (License & Certification)

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plan as developed by the licensed occupational therapist.
• Collaborates with the licensed occupational therapist on an agreed upon frequency to assess and reassess patient’s plan of care, treatment goals and interventions.
• Documents patient progress in daily notes and weekly notes (as applicable), as well as contributes recommendations to patient’s discharge note from occupational therapy.
• Reports on interventions and patient progress during assigned meetings and contributes to the screening and evaluation process.
• Assists with guidance for clinical fieldwork students under the supervision of the licensed occupational therapist.
