About The Position

Six Flags Over Texas is looking for an energetic individual to join the Entertainment Leadership Team as a Costume Character Lead. The individual will assist the Costume Character Supervisor with supervising the daily operations of the Character Department, including rotation schedules, assessing issues and developing a solution, and filling in as a Character, Ambassador or Show Host when needed. They will work with performers, associates, and guests to ensure a safe, FUN work environment as well as create memorable entertainment and event experiences throughout the park. Some costume maintenance and laundry duties may be included. This role oversees team members in the park daily, assists with training, evaluating, coaching, and supporting teams on location. This is a performing role.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Prior SFOT Character Department experience.
• IMPROV Skills.
• Ability to work in all outdoor conditions for extended periods of time.
• Ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel, lift, climb stairs/ladders, push, and pull up to 50lbs.
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays.
• Punctual and have a good attendance record.
• Dependability is a must.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work well unsupervised and with others.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Excellent motivational, leadership and team-building skills.
• Outgoing personality and work well with others.
