About The Position

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Tennessee (TMMTN) is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Cost Management Analyst for its Accounting & Finance Department, supporting the Jackson, Tennessee plant. The primary focus is financial analysis and cost functions for that plant, with possible overlap supporting the Troy, Missouri, or Princeton, Indiana, plants. Reporting to the A&F Manager, this role supports cost monitoring and reduction activities and company KPIs, and provides accurate, timely financial information for management decision-making. The analyst serves as a key resource for Manufacturing Shops and works with shop departments and other Toyota North America Manufacturing Companies. The position requires in-depth accounting knowledge and the ability to apply it to complex issues. Flexibility, creativity, and systematic analytical problem-solving are important as the business prepares for electrification. The role receives general management direction but requires independent resolution of many issues. On-site attendance at the Jackson, Tennessee facility is required four days per week.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting operating expenses.
• Experience supporting monthly close processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office 365 tools, including Teams and SharePoint.
• Technical competence in graphing and charting.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with people of varied personalities.
• Ability to negotiate aggressive targets and collaborate with teams on problems and projects to accomplish company goals.
• Ability to work on-site at the Jackson, Tennessee facility four days per week.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States without Toyota immigration-related employment support or sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree above a bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with SAP Financials and/or BPC Planning for SAP.
• Experience working for an automotive manufacturing company.
• Working experience with Microsoft Power BI, including data importation, slicer manipulation, report creation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with PowerPoint and presentation skills.
• CPA or CMA.

Responsibilities

• Provide cost leadership for Jackson, Tennessee Manufacturing management, including budget coordination, cost reporting and analysis, and ad-hoc support for cost inquiries.
• Support monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial closing, including monthly journal entries and variance analysis.
• Analyze shop costs against actuals, budget, forecast, and ideal cost planning targets.
• Review, analyze, and route operating ringis in support of plant operations.
• Perform cost lead activities, including go-and-see activities supporting cost-reduction reporting and system reconciliation.
• Provide physical inventory support and audits as needed.
• Participate in activities that support Toyota Way culture at the NAMC.
• Work with Manufacturing Shop Departments and other Toyota North America Manufacturing Companies.
