About The Position

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Tennessee’s Accounting & Finance Department is seeking a Cost Management Analyst to support its Jackson, Tennessee plant, with potential overlap supporting the Troy, Missouri, or Princeton, Indiana, plants in some areas. Reporting to the A&F Manager, this role supports cost monitoring, cost-reduction activities, and company KPIs. It provides accurate and timely financial information to support management decisions and serves as a resource for Manufacturing Shops.

The role calls for in-depth accounting knowledge and the ability to address complex issues analytically and systematically. Flexibility and creativity are important as the business prepares for electrification. The analyst receives general management direction but is expected to work through many issues independently, collaborating with Manufacturing Shop Departments and other Toyota North America Manufacturing Companies. The position requires on-site work at the Jackson, Tennessee facility four days per week.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting operating expenses.
• Experience supporting monthly close processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office 365 tools, such as Teams and SharePoint; technical competence in graphing and charting.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with people of varied personalities, negotiate aggressive targets, and collaborate with the same teams on problems and projects to accomplish company goals.
• Ability to work on-site at the Jackson, Tennessee facility four days a week.
• Must have U.S. work authorization without requiring Toyota immigration support or sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree above a bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with SAP Financials and/or BPC Planning for SAP.
• Experience working for an automotive manufacturing company.
• Working experience with Microsoft Power BI, including data importation, slicer manipulation, report creation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with PowerPoint and presentation skills.
• CPA or CMA.

Responsibilities

• Provide cost leadership for Jackson, Tennessee manufacturing management, including budget coordination, cost reporting and analysis, and ad-hoc support for cost inquiries.
• Support monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial closing, including monthly journal entries and variance analysis.
• Analyze shop costs against actuals, budgets, forecasts, and ideal cost-planning targets.
• Review, analyze, and route operating ringis in support of plant operations.
• Perform cost-lead activities, including go-and-see activities to support cost-reduction reporting and system reconciliation.
• Provide physical inventory support and audits as needed.
• Participate in activities supporting Toyota Way culture at the NAMC.
