About The Position

INTUITIVE is seeking a highly innovative and motivated Cost Estimator to support the Project Manager Formation Based Mission Autonomy project office. The role ensures financial integration of programmatic, technical, and sustainment requirements and aligns materiel and capability development to enable effective system-of-systems development. It requires strategic critical thinking and exceptional organizational skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree.
• Five years of relevant experience providing cost analysis.
• Experience evaluating projects using different methods and options to determine the most cost-effective solution that meets required specifications.
• Experience preparing Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Ability to refine and adjust cost models in response to changes in technical specifications, support requirements, alternative design, engineering, and operational trade-off proposals.
• Thorough knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Proficiency with ACEIT.
• Familiarity with the Army Acquisition Process.
• Knowledge and skill in applying policies, precedents, methods, and techniques of costing.
• Ability to project future budgetary requirements based on historical information.
• Some travel.
• Must have an in-scope DoW Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review cost analyses in the Automated Cost Estimating Integration Tool (ACEIT).
• Prepare estimates for changes in technical and/or funding baselines.
• Analyze mission requirements to determine cost parameters, specific cost factors, and relationships used to construct cost models.
• Provide supporting documents to defend cost-estimating methodologies.
• Develop life-cycle cost estimates to determine total program cost.
• Support contract cost-estimating financial activities and process reconciliations.
• Routinely provide detailed financial reports and documentation.
• Advise and provide technical assistance to functional specialists in identifying and evaluating program cost factors and the cost impact of program alternatives.
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs) to support program management needs.
• Evaluate program impacts based on direction and funding adjustments.
• Support the POM planning cycle.
