About The Position
INTUITIVE® is seeking a highly innovative and motivated Cost Estimator to join its team supporting the Project Manager Formation Based Mission Autonomy project office. The role ensures financial integration of programmatic, technical, and sustainment requirements and aligns materiel and capability development to enable effective system-of-systems development. The position calls for strategic critical thinking and exceptional organizational skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree.
- Five years of relevant experience providing cost analysis.
- Experience evaluating projects using different methods and options to determine the most cost-effective solution that meets required specifications.
- Experience preparing Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
- Ability to refine and adjust cost models in response to changes in technical specifications, support requirements, alternative designs, engineering, and operational trade-off proposals.
- Thorough knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Proficiency with ACEIT.
- Familiarity with the Army Acquisition Process.
- Knowledge and skill in applying costing policies, precedents, methods, and techniques.
- Ability to project future budgetary requirements based on historical information.
- Must have an in-scope DoW Secret security clearance.
- Some travel is required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and review cost analyses in the Automated Cost Estimating Integration Tool (ACEIT).
- Prepare estimates for changes in technical and/or funding baselines.
- Analyze mission requirements to identify cost parameters, specific cost factors, and relationships used to construct cost models.
- Provide supporting documentation to defend cost-estimating methodologies.
- Develop life-cycle cost estimates to determine total program cost.
- Support contract cost-estimating financial activities and process reconciliations.
- Provide detailed financial reports and documentation routinely.
- Advise and provide technical assistance to functional specialists identifying and evaluating program cost factors and the cost impact of program alternatives.
- Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs) to support program management needs.
- Evaluate program impacts resulting from direction and funding adjustments.
- Support the POM planning cycle.
