About The Position
Holder Construction is seeking an Engineer to join its Project Controls team at its regional office in Bristow, Virginia. This is a full-time, in-person position. The role involves analyzing potential subcontractor changes, supporting issue resolution, coordinating information with subcontractors, and ensuring billing information meets owner requirements. The position also provides exposure to subcontractor cash flows and owner billing processes while requiring awareness of company and project risk.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a quantitative-related field.
- Outstanding communication, time management, and computer skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and respond to potential changes received from subcontractors.
- Analyze data to provide tactful methods of issue resolution.
- Communicate with subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate responses.
- Understand and comply with owner requirements for receipt and submission of information.
- Review, update, and ensure accuracy of MEP manifest billing.
- Gain exposure to subcontractor cash flows and owner billing processes.
- Be mindful of company and project risk when addressing issues.
- Approach internal and external conflict with logic and maintain a calm, professional attitude.
