About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a Cost Controller to join its growing project controls team in the Vancouver office. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing cost reports for senior management, advising management on budget variations, and providing estimated costs to complete projects. This role will also involve assisting with the processing of project change notices, maintaining change logs, and developing management reports with an appropriate level of detail.

Requirements

2-3 years experience in quantity surveying or project controls
Knowledge of scheduling software, namely Primavera (P6)
Ability to assess the cost and schedule impacts of design or construction changes and associated cost increases and or schedule slippages
Proven ability to work in a team environment demonstrating excellent communication skills
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities

Process and verify invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
Monitor accounts receivable and payable to support effective financial control across projects.
Classify costs accurately and ensure financial records are complete, reliable, and maintained to a high standard.
Assist with financial reporting requirements, including supporting month-end and year-end activities.
Maintain the accuracy of project financial data and support reporting processes.
Assist in preparing estimates for minor scopes of work for review by the Project Manager.
Maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders.
Identify and help resolve project control issues, proposing practical solutions.
Prepare cost reports for senior management.
Advise management of variation to budget.
Provide estimated costs to complete.
Assist in processing project change notices.
Maintain change logs.
Develop management reports at an appropriate level of detail.
