About The Position

As a Cost Controller, you'll develop, implement, and maintain the Project Baseline Budgets, including: the creation and upkeep of Control Account Plans; the responsibility for the Assignment Matrix; and the WBS Dictionary to ensure clarity of scope and ownership. Monitoring, controlling and validating project accruals and commitments, you will also maintain accurate resource and financial forecast data. You’ll also manage and control cost risk budgets and drawdowns, providing informed input into the broader risk management process. Reporting, metrics and variation analysis are all part of this position as well to support informed decision-making. Importantly, you'll measure the health of the program against the cost and project budgets.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in project management or a related field.
  • Extensive recent experience in a similar environment.
  • Understanding of contracting methodologies.
  • Past experience of cost estimating, cost engineering, or project controls.
  • Knowledge of cost management techniques, Earned Value Management, estimating, quantity surveying, and quantitative risk analysis.
  • Previous experience in a matrix environment in cost estimating, cost engineering, or project controls.
  • Experience continuing to projects of a variety of products and services across all lifecycle phases.
  • Australian Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
  • Current AU Drivers Licence.
