About The Position

This position was created to support the company’s anticipated strong growth over the next several years. XNRGY is projecting an annual growth rate of more than 50% over the next five years. The Cost Analyst role is strategic within this expansion context. This position is intended to support the organization’s development by contributing to the implementation, optimization, and structuring of existing processes in order to effectively support the company’s growth. Reporting to the Financial Controller of XNRGY Holdings Inc., the Cost Analyst will be responsible for performing profitability analyses on ongoing projects and ensuring the accurate accounting of costs. He or she will analyze current challenges and be capable of improving and developing new tools to ensure effective monitoring of expenditures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in a similar role within a multi-entity environment.
  • Strong expertise in variance analysis.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Proactive team player with a strong sense of accountability and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and initiative, with the capacity to effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Be the primary point of contact for financial forecasting and planning activities for the subsidiaries within the XNRGY group.
  • Contribute to monthly budget variance analysis as part of the month-end closing process with members of the finance team.
  • Develop additional analyses based on monthly results to understand variances.
  • Be proactive in problem-solving and engage with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Participate in improving financial data quality by identifying issues and recommending corrective actions.
  • Ensure that the most up-to-date financial information is incorporated into forecasts.
  • Keep stakeholders informed of forecast developments and their impact on the company’s results.
  • Collaborate with operations and other departments to determine whether changes are required to forecasts.
  • Perform any other related duties as required.
