About The Position

Turner & Townsend is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Cost Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role requires strong analytical skills, expertise in data analysis tools, and the ability to effectively communicate complex information. The role involves collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to gather, process, and analyze data from various sources, understanding data needs, and providing actionable insights to support construction project management and decision-making. The analyst will develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports, perform benchmarking, trend identification, and growth forecasting. Responsibilities include analyzing project cost trends, detecting potential issues, identifying process improvements, and creating statistical models to predict project outcomes. Ensuring data accuracy and integrity through quality checks and governance practices is crucial. The role also involves providing training and support to end-users, developing exception reporting processes, and managing a FAQ repository to support chatbot functionality. Data analysis and benchmarking collection, organization, and comparison to generate performance metrics and drive reporting insights are key. Additionally, the role includes managing and mentoring junior data analysts. SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role.

Requirements

• Highly proficiency with Excel, extracting data from SAP, Apttus, and Excel Power Queries to migrate into a custom-built Project Tracking and Reporting Tool in Power Bi.
• Benchmarking Data Collection.
• Monthly and Quarterly reporting data extraction and consolidation to support executive dashboards.
• Excel advanced a must.
• SAP.
• Power Bi.
• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related professional experience.
• At least 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within the construction or engineering industry.
• Expertise in using professional data analysis and visualization tools, along with proficiency in programming languages.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience with cost and contract management software and systems.

• Provide training and support to end-users on new reports, dashboards, and data analysis tools.
• Develop exception reporting processes by extracting and analyzing data to identify discrepancies, ensuring timely updates to statuses and fields for data accuracy.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive FAQ repository, analyzing common user inquiries to support the design and enhancement of chatbot functionality for the tool.
• Perform data analysis and benchmarking collection, organizing, and comparing data to generate performance metrics and drive reporting insights.
• Manage and mentor junior data analysts, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
• Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
