About The Position

HunaTek is seeking highly motivated, performance-driven individuals with strong cost analysis experience to work closely with our government client in the Northern Virginia area. Qualified candidates will have excellent communication, quantitative, research, and analytical skills. The Senior Cost Analyst position will include, but not be limited to, performing the full range of cost analyses in evaluation of client programs, to include life cycle cost estimates (LCCE), Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimates, Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE) and ad hoc cost studies. This role involves developing Cost Analysis Requirements Descriptions (CARDs), leading and managing program office estimate activities, and developing, updating, and applying mathematical and logical methodologies for estimating program costs. The analyst will also lead, develop, update, manipulate, and maintain cost and affordability models, and lead efforts in collecting, normalizing, and analyzing complex data. Key responsibilities include building and defending budget requirements, forecasting future funding needs, evaluating contracting strategy and courses of action, and conducting planning for acquisition of capabilities. The role also requires identifying sustainment cost impacts of acquisition decisions and interface maintenance funding requirements for all affected platforms/systems, managing solution delivery to a baselined schedule, and providing supporting materials for briefings to management at executive and oversight levels. The Senior Cost Analyst will work autonomously and as part of a team, lead in the preparation of briefing materials, and communicate and work with diverse organizations for data collection, analysis, and results presentation. Additionally, the role requires providing thought leadership and demonstrating an understanding of the customer mission and innovative ideas to address business challenges.

Requirements

US Citizenship is required.
Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Proficiency with uncertainty/risk software packages.
Knowledge of the Government Acquisition Programs.
Ability to lead detail-oriented tasks and multi-task under minimal supervision.
Ability to present analytical results to senior leaders/stakeholders.
Ability to manage and work with large data sets.
Possession of excellent data gathering and analytical skills.
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., economics, engineering, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or business).
Minimum of 8 years’ experience performing cost analyses for DoD, intelligence, or civil agency programs.
Prior experience supporting Government Acquisition Programs.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in Navy/Marine Corps sector is preferred.
Prior experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) Acquisition Programs (ACAT I-IV).
Prior financial management and program management experience.
Proficiency with Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACEIT), Crystal Ball or SEER for IT.
Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA®) or Professional Cost Estimator/Analyst (PCEA®) certification.
