About The Position

This role is for a Cost Analyst II, a fully proficient level position with comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices within the discipline. The work involves planning and accomplishing goals based on experience and judgment, often with minimal supervision. The incumbent will coordinate cost analysis activities, liaise with project management on cost control matters, conduct site visits for cost reporting reviews, and prepare evaluations of cost escalation and contingencies. Requirements

• University Degree, or equivalent, in a related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Typically 5+ years relevant experience.
• Proficiently communicate ideas and concepts.
• Strong understanding of systems, processes, and tools related to the field.
• Able to assist others and troubleshoot issues.

• Continue to develop the ability to influence participation in the preparation and delivery of proposals, presentations and reports.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project cost reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Coordinate cost analysis activities on one or more projects.
• Liaise with project management on matters relating to cost control.
• Make periodic site visits to review cost reporting.
• Prepare comprehensive evaluations of cost escalation and contingencies.
• Plan own work and accomplish varied and complex tasks with the ability to discover issues and recommend solutions.
• May assign activities and give technical guidance to a few staff for a common project.
