About The Position

Energy Talent Search is working with a manufacturing company in the Greenville, South Carolina area seeking a Manufacturing Finance / Cost Accounting professional to support plant operations and finance leadership. This position will partner closely with operations and plant leadership teams to support manufacturing reporting, operational analysis, inventory management, forecasting, budgeting, and cost accounting initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This is a highly visible role supporting day-to-day plant finance operations and manufacturing performance reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • 4–8 years of manufacturing finance, cost accounting, plant accounting, or operational finance experience
  • Manufacturing industry experience REQUIRED
  • Strong understanding of inventory accounting and standard costing environments
  • Experience supporting plant or site-based manufacturing operations
  • Strong Excel and spreadsheet analysis skills
  • ERP system experience required; SAP experience strongly preferred
  • Strong reporting, analytical, and operational finance skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and operations teams
  • Collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively within fast-paced manufacturing environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support plant leadership with manufacturing finance reporting and operational analysis
  • Analyze plant performance, manufacturing trends, and operational KPIs
  • Assist with inventory analysis, standard costing, and variance reporting
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting activities
  • Prepare spreadsheet analysis and reporting tied to plant operations and manufacturing performance
  • Work closely with operations teams to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost drivers
  • Utilize ERP and operational data to analyze manufacturing and financial performance
  • Support inventory-related reporting and costing impacts
  • Assist with operational finance reporting tied to manufacturing initiatives and plant performance
  • Support month-end reporting and operational analysis activities
  • Partner with finance and operations leadership to improve reporting visibility and operational decision-making
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives tied to manufacturing finance and reporting processes
