About The Position

This office hourly position, along with eight other Accounting Specialists, is responsible for covering various manufacturing departments in completing accounting production practices, along with analytical support in meeting plant & company initiatives. The person in this position accounts for all inventory and production transactions in assigned departments from a 2/3 shift operation, reconciles inventories, and proactively seeks information from operations management, shipping, and other functional groups. The role also involves performing research within data systems and completing weekly reporting/reconciliations for management.

Requirements

  • Two-year accounting degree or the equivalent accounting experience
  • Strong proficiency with a PC, Windows and MS Excel
  • Ability to learn new systems and business concepts
  • Strong verbal communication and time management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with QAD, AS/400 Shop Floor Data Collection (SFDC), Oracle Cloud Financial, and Mainframe systems.

Responsibilities

  • Is responsible for accounting for all inventory and production transactions which occur in the assigned departments from a 2/3 shift operation.
  • Reconciles inventories in QAD compared to the physical inventory quantities from the AS400 data collection system and as reported by management.
  • Must have the ability to work at a fast pace, handling multiple departments and their associated accounting activities simultaneously.
  • Must be willing to proactively seek information from operations management, shipping, and other functional groups and perform research within the data systems (AS400/QAD) to help complete daily tasks.
  • Completes weekly reporting / reconciliations for management to evaluate to drive actions / results.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
