About The Position

This office hourly position is responsible for covering various manufacturing departments in completing accounting production practices, along with analytical support in meeting plant & company initiatives. The person in this position is responsible for accounting for all inventory and production transactions which occur in the assigned departments from a 2/3 shift operation. This position reports to the Senior Finance Manager and is part of a team of eight other Accounting Specialists. The work schedule for this position is Monday – Friday with occasional overtime required. The daily hours will vary depending on the respective areas being covered. Limited flex time is available. This position is not eligible for a work from home or telecommuting arrangement.

Requirements

  • Two-year accounting degree or the equivalent accounting experience
  • Strong proficiency with a PC, Windows and MS Excel
  • Ability to learn new systems and business concepts
  • Strong verbal communication and time management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with QAD, AS/400 Shop Floor Data Collection (SFDC), Oracle Cloud Financial, and Mainframe systems.

Responsibilities

  • Accounting for all inventory and production transactions which occur in the assigned departments from a 2/3 shift operation.
  • Reconciling inventories in QAD compared to the physical inventory quantities from the AS400 data collection system and as reported by management.
  • Working at a fast pace, handling multiple departments and their associated accounting activities simultaneously.
  • Proactively seeking information from operations management, shipping, and other functional groups and performing research within the data systems (AS400/QAD) to help complete daily tasks.
  • Completing weekly reporting / reconciliations for management to evaluate to drive actions / results.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management.
