Requirements

  • Minimum of one-year post-secondary education in accounting or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with computers and ability to learn and navigate custom computer programs.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud and/or DataServ systems
  • familiarity with accounting practices

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and process all activity associated with inventory, purchases, and usage of raw materials/supplies co-packer produced items to ensure proper asset accountability and valuation as well as accurate product costs.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy for Applegate’s main distribution center and monitor third party EDI transactions for accuracy and validity.
  • Perform daily inventory adjustments, inventory shipments, inventory receipts, and reconciliation for assigned Applegate third party warehouses.
  • Handle accounts payable processes for assigned inventory sites.
  • Analyze and report weekly Profit & Loss statements for assigned inventory sites.
  • Prepare monthly expense accruals and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as needed.
