About The Position

TCC Materials is a leading manufacturer of architectural and concrete specialty products. This individual will be responsible for the oversight and management of all TCC cost accounting activities including maintaining standard product costs, overseeing inventory cycle count program, and managing EDI flow while partnering with the FP&A Manager & business leaders to help improve performance and profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from a four-year accredited college or university
  • 5+ years of financial accounting; preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s in business administration (MBA) a plus
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) / Certified Management Account (CMA) preferred
  • Experience with multi-plant, multi-company environment, a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor all TCC accounting personnel to promote a positive and supportive work environment that performs excellent service to all internal and external customers.
  • Perform administrative responsibilities associated with management of the team including performance feedback, wage reviews and communication of corporate policy.
  • Maintain and drive accurate standard product costing including item setup, bill of materials, labor and overhead rates, and material prices/yields.
  • Constantly evaluate cost improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze manufacturing variances such as PPV/IPV, freight-in, and inventory variances.
  • Oversee EDI system to ensure incoming and outgoing transactions flow smoothly between business systems.
  • Ensure accuracy of cycle counting program; evaluate large variances for transactional corrections.
  • Partner with Corporate Accounting to ensure timely and accurate monthly financial close processes and year-end audit while continuously evaluating and leading change to create efficiency and accuracy.
  • Serve as a resource for all operating and administrative teams in the business to help problem solving.
  • Effectively present financial information to division operation leaders to drive operational improvements.
  • Work with the FP&A Manger to ensure accounting and costing practices and procedures support financial reporting and analysis to manage and improve the business.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with company employees, suppliers, and customers.
  • Promote and maintain the professional image and reputation of the company and ensure timely problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by TCC Materials Management.
