Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3–7 years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing
  • Experience in medical device, life sciences, or regulated environments preferred
  • Strong expertise in: Standard costing, Variance analysis, Inventory accounting, COGS and margin analysis
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable partnering cross-functionally with Operations & Supply Chain
  • Able to translate financial data into clear business insights
  • Continuous improvement mindset with interest in automation and AI-driven efficiency

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain standard costing models (labor, materials, overhead)
  • Analyze manufacturing variances and provide actionable recommendations
  • Support month-end close activities (inventory, COGS, production reporting)
  • Deliver margin and profitability analysis by product, customer, and program
  • Collaborate with Operations to ensure accurate BOMs and routings
  • Support cycle counts and physical inventory processes
  • Analyze inventory trends (turns, excess, obsolescence)
  • Ensure compliance with inventory controls in a regulated (FDA/ISO) environment
  • Partner with Sales and Program teams on quoting and pricing strategies
  • Evaluate financial impact of new product introductions (NPI)
  • Identify cost drivers and cost reduction opportunities
  • Improve cost accounting processes and internal controls
  • Support ERP system enhancements and optimization
  • Help build KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools for operational efficiency
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal policies
  • Support internal/external audits and documentation
  • Maintain strong internal controls aligned with best practices
