About The Position
Worldwide Foam is seeking a Cost Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings expertise in cost accounting principles. As a Cost Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing and analyzing the company's product and process costs (COGS). You'll support strategic decision-making by delivering accurate financial insights and working closely with the operations team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of cost accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing
- Solid grasp of GAAP and cost accounting principles
- Proficiency with ERP/costing systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or Dynamics)
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure setting
Responsibilities
- Analyze operational costs and provide key insights
- Maintain and update standard costs for inventory and assembled goods
- Report COGS results with expected vs. actuals to operations
- Manage variance accounts and ensure internal controls compliance
- Create and validate BOMs and new item entries
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and cross-functional projects
- Support finance and accounting team members when needed
