About The Position
Hiram W Davis Medical Center is a 94-bed medical facility that provides acute medical diagnosis, skilled, intermediate and long-term care to individuals receiving services in facilities operated by the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, as well as individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities within the community. HWDMC has been awarded the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). We are dedicated to providing outstanding treatment and improving our patient’s and resident’s health and quality of life. Requirements
- Completion of State Approved Training course in Cosmetology
- Current Licensure with the Virginia Board of Cosmetology
- Possess the physical ability to reposition adult residents and patients without restrictions
Nice To Haves
- Working experience with barber/beautician, preferred
- Familiarity in working within a special population, preferred
Responsibilities
- Providing cosmetology services
- Providing standard services
- Read, write and communicate effectively with others
- Reposition adult residents and patients without restrictions
- Follow directions regarding Central Medical Equipment Supply (CMES) procedures
- Equipment care, sanitation procedures and inventory control
