About The Position

This role is for a Wax Specialist at European Wax Center, operated by Ballast Wax, a multi-unit franchisee. The position offers the opportunity to build a clientele, sharpen skills, and operate as your own business within the support of a recognized brand. Specialists deliver high-quality waxing services in private suites, build relationships with guests, and grow a loyal book of business. Ballast Wax emphasizes investment in Wax Specialist development through ongoing training, brand education, and team support, aiming for technical, professional, and financial growth.

Requirements

• Hold an active Esthetician or Cosmetologist license in the state where you're applying.
• Care about your guests beyond the service.
• Be comfortable recommending products and services.
• Educate confidently and let the results speak for themselves.
• Take sanitation and standards seriously.
• Be a learner and show up to training ready to grow.
• Be available when guests are - evenings and weekends included.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional waxing services in accordance with EWC brand protocols and licensing requirements.
• Greet every guest with warmth, professionalism, and enthusiasm.
• Educate guests on post-wax care, service frequency, and what to expect.
• Build genuine relationships that keep guests coming back - and referring friends.
• Recommend skincare products and service packages that genuinely serve your guests.
• Consistently achieve rebooking, product sales, and Wax Pass goals.
• Leverage your product knowledge and consultative approach to drive retention.
• Contribute to center-wide performance targets.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized wax suite at all times.
• Adhere to all sanitation standards and state licensing laws without exception.
• Uphold brand standards and model the EWC guest experience.
• Participate in ongoing training, skill development, and center meetings.
• Support fellow team members and contribute to a positive, inclusive environment.
• Bring curiosity and commitment to your craft.
