About The Position

Immediate opening for a stylist who is skilled in all types of haircuts and styles, including face and neck shaves, for men and women. This is a full-time position requiring salon and hospital ward service. The role is independently owned and operated by the stylist, with work expected 2-3 times a week. Resumes cannot exceed 2 pages in length, or they will be disqualified.

Requirements

Commitment to providing an excellent guest experience.
A valid barber/cosmetology license.
Ability to pass a background check.
Possess or obtain liability insurance in the amount of $1 Million.
Comfortable approach to working in an exciting fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality.
Ability to listen to guest needs and communicate clearly.
Professional, friendly, self-motivated barber.
A current, valid REAL ID is required to work at Veterans Canteen Service.
Two primary forms of identification will be required (e.g., U.S. passport, Permanent resident card, Foreign passport, Employment authorization document with a photo, State-issued, Real ID-compliant driver’s license or ID card, U.S. military ID card, U.S. military dependent’s ID card, PIV card).
Serve a 1-year probationary period.
Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is required or an exemption for medical or religious reasons must be obtained.
