About The Position

Bloomingdale’s Cosmetic Beauty Advisors provide excellent service and sell the full assortment in-store and online. The primary focus is building and maintaining client relationships through outstanding service and product knowledge while maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. The role includes providing makeup application lessons, skin care consultations and treatments, and expert, up-to-date trend advice. Beauty Advisors are welcoming, friendly, and engaged, keeping energy on the sales floor and putting customer needs first.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous selling experience; cosmetics experience is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods; reach, crouch, kneel, stoop, and perform tasks requiring color vision.
Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
Frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Drive sales with in-store and online clients by using technology proficiently.
Participate in the merchandising and operational requirements of the role.
